Educator Extravaganza FAQs

  • We will have lots of supplies including:

    • Paper, notebooks, folders, binders & more

    • Writing & coloring utensils

    • Science supplies/ kits

    • Books (chapter and kid’s)

    • Office supplies

    • Creative supplies (fabric, stamps, paper mache)

    • And more!

Please note that all supplies are limited and we can not guarantee stock of any particular item.

  • We welcome all public educators and educators that work with a CCS (Child Care Scholarship) contracted Early Learning Program.

All educators will need to provide some form of credential to be admitted (school ID, paystub, school/ facility website with name/photo, etc.)

  • This means that all the materials are being provided on a donation basis! We understand that teachers are often asked to stock their classrooms from their own pockets, and that this both is an undue burden on the teacher, and does not create equitable outcomes for students, and we want to help alleviate that disparity.

We’ll ask each educator what they would like to pay, and we encourage them to contribute as much as they can, and no more. On average, educators have paid about half of the ‘ACR value’ of items, which is typically 30% of what materials would cost new.

We also encourage everyone, not just educators, to make a financial donation to help us continue programs such as this!

  • This year, we are teaming up with AISD’s Office of Sustainability to bring local organizations to this event!

From 8:30am-11am, teachers can connect with local orgs that focus on bringing sustainability, environmental education, and STEAM into the classroom.

Partners include: EcoRISE, National Wildlife Federation, Keep Austin Beautiful and more!

  • Goodwill will be providing surplus office supplies and classroom tech, including some standing desks, monitors, projectors and more! They will not have as much large furniture pieces as last year.
